Luciano Vietto remains confident of rediscovering his scoring touch, which appears to have deserted him after the move from Villarreal to Atletico Madrid.

The 22-year-old has scored only three goals since the move in the summer. Being one of the younger players in the squad,Vietto spoke about the film that he has received from established stars at the club. However, he says that he never expected goalkeeper Jan Oblak to have such a commanding presence in the dressing room since he is still very young. The Slovenian goalkeeper came as the replacement for Thibaut Courtois.

He has already established a firm reputation as one of the best in the world, which is remarkable given that he is only 23 years old.Vietto says that the goalkeeper has been getting the attention of a striker and this has been a surprising element.

The 22-year-old also spoke to J Campbell about the steps that he has been receiving from strikers by Fernando Torres, who are considered as legends in the club. The three goals scored byVietto have taken the striker an amazing 25 matches and more than 1000 minutes of action. He has, however, come up with four assists in these games.

His last goal, though, was back in the middle of December.“Jan Oblak. It’s a bit unusual for a goalkeeper to get the attention of a striker, but being so young I was very surprised. He transmits a lot of security. He shows why he’s got an unbeaten record every day, which makes us happy.[Players such as Gabi, Juanfran, Filipe Luis, Fernando Torres] are an example for us, the younger players. They’re very good and we have to learn from them. It’s a very beautiful game, these win or die games, and you have to enjoy it,” said the striker.
